Blackberry Curve hands-on review (Blackberry 8300)

Blackberry Curve hands-on review (Blackberry 8300)

For many years the Blackberry had been the only smartphone on the market, and no one really used it for personal use. With so many manufacturers introducing their own smartphone, it was become more common for individuals to own a smartphone, and lately more specifically a Blackberry. Once RIM began to offer smaller versions as in the Pearl and the Curve, interest in the Blackberry grew. The introduction of the Blackberry Bold is changing that even more as there are so many features going into this model that have never been on any Blackberry phone in the past.

For the business sector, the changes to the Blackberry Bold are not that critical. Most of the “firsts” that RIM has added to the Blackberry Bold are primarily ones that would be used for personal use. The upgrade to the support for Microsoft Office is definitely a first and something that will be a great advantage to business users. With Documents on the Go it is possible to view Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents almost exactly as they would appear on a desktop. There are also upgrades to email capabilities that allow the user to read longer emails on the display screen, thus improving the communication between user and personal or business contacts.

Blackberry Bold is larger than its predecessors yet it is still lightweight enough not to create a problem. In spite of the smartphones that are being developed by other manufacturers, many businesses are still more content with Blackberry because of its longstanding use in the business world. The use of Blackberry in business is certainly one we can see when you hear it mentioned in novels that involve employees who travel for business. Though there are other smartphones today, one does not hear about them except in advertisements.

One reason commercial customers tend to stay with Blackberry is its long-standing record of reliability. Though personal users may be willing to try something new, businesses are less likely to do so. They are very stuck in their ways and not likely to change anytime soon. Take the two-way for example-other carriers now have this mode in place, but most business users still use Nextel because up until a few years ago it was the only carrier that had two-way capabilities. Commercial customers tend to be very loyal to their product line and are less likely to change than anyone else.

Blackberry Bold has not yet made a full entry into the mobile phone market, so you will have to look for a Blackberry Bold review from those areas where it has already made its mark. We should soon begin seeing mobile phone deals and thus have more information on the Blackberry Bold and its full line of features and how they work. In the meantime you can still rely on your faith in the Blackberry’s quality to make any decisions regarding the purchase of a Blackberry Bold until more concrete information is available by the end of the year.

The blackberry pearl only shows the most recent call to each contact. I want to know how you can find out the times of every call without looking at my bill.

I have a Blackberry 7100i. After 6 months the software crashed from no fault of my own and the only way to fix it is to buy a replacement. I would go with a Treo if I were you. My boss has had his for about 2 years with no problems, and it comes with a lot more software that the blackberry doesn't.

I am not sure what you mean by review. The below news article highlights the issues people are having with the handset and Vodafone UK.

The BlackBerry® Curve 8330 smartphone delivers on the BlackBerry promise with no compromises. BlackBerry push technology is designed to deliver emails to your smartphone as they arrive so you read and respond to them. And its applications work together so you can email a web page to one of your contacts while you're browsing the web, or listen to music as you read and respond to your emails. In addition to the push technology reliability, the Curve also offers VZ Navigator, BroadbandAccess Connect and a 2 megapixel camera with flash. These powerful features round out the total package that the sleek and elegantly–designed Curve offers.

There for its a awesome phone.

Hope this helps.

In love with the blackberry series. I had the pear before I got the curve and have to say its great. The internet is speedy, great service, awesome messaging features, and very user friendly. I have to say the only downfall to most of the blackberry phones is the trackball can break and when that happens your shit out of luck for lack of a better term. Good luck and try to go through Verizon.
